Superbad 2: McLovin’s Revenge

Here is the script for Superbad 2 where McLovin is a police officer…

Scene: Late afternoon in a suburban neighborhood. A beat-up police cruiser slowly drives by. Inside, Officer Fogell, AKA McLovin, now a slightly older but still awkward cop, patrols the streets. He glances around, bored.

McLovin (sighs):
Another day, another lame shift…

Radio crackles:
Dispatch: Officer Fogell, we’ve got a report of a kid using a fake ID at the liquor store on 5th. Can you check it out?

McLovin (grinning to himself):
Finally, some action. Time to teach these amateurs a lesson.

Cut to: Liquor store. A nervous teen, Johnny, stands at the counter, trying to act cool as he hands the cashier his ID. McLovin enters, already sizing him up.

McLovin (with a smirk):
Hey there, kid. Mind showing me that ID?

Johnny (startled):
Uh, yeah, sure, Officer… uh…

McLovin (raising an eyebrow):
Fogell. But you might know me as McLovin.

Johnny (gulping, hands over the ID):
Here you go, Officer Fogell…

McLovin (examining the ID, chuckles to himself):
Hawaii, huh? Wow, original. You know, this reminds me of someone I used to know…

Johnny (nervously):
Uh, I don’t know what you’re talking about.

McLovin (leans in, dead serious):
Listen, kid. I’ve been where you are. I’ve walked that same path. You think this little piece of plastic is your ticket to freedom, but it’s not. It’s a trap.

Johnny (wide-eyed):
I-I’m sorry, man. I just wanted to get some beer for the party tonight…

McLovin (sighs, then smiles warmly):
You remind me of me. So, I’ll tell you what. I’ll let you off this time, but you better promise me something.

Johnny (eagerly):
Anything, Officer!

McLovin:
One day, when you’re older and wiser, and you find yourself with some punk kid trying to pull the same stunt… you’ll show him the same mercy I’m showing you. Deal?

Johnny (relieved):
Deal! Thanks, Officer McLovin—uh, I mean, Fogell!

McLovin (hands back the ID, winks):
Now get out of here, and stay out of trouble.

Johnny bolts out of the store, and McLovin watches him go, shaking his head with a grin.

McLovin (to himself):
Guess some things never change…

Fade out as McLovin exits the store, returning to his cruiser, feeling a little more like a hero.

End Scene.
Roll Credits.
